Work in Progress – Creative Writing Workshop

Work in Progress – Creative Writing Workshop with Anette Pollner

As a writer, you always have “work in progress” – stories you have almost finished, stories you are hoping to write, stories you wish you had never started, and the stories from your unconscious mind… In a way, a writer’s life itself is a constant work in progress.

Join Anette Pollner for her final workshop in Lisbon this year.
Friday 8 September, 10AM to 1PM at Bookshop Bivar

In this workshop at the magical Bookshop Bivar where we will again write surrounded by hundreds of books, you will get a chance to take your writing to the next level. Connect with your passion and find that deep place inside you where the stories come from, and where your stories lead.

If you have joined us before, prepare for an even deeper dive into your craft. If you are joining us for the first time, prepare for an inspiring, high energy workshop. Like a yoga class, the workshop benefits every writer from beginner to master level.

During her 15 years in London she studied and later taught creative writing at the City Lit and City University, as well as at the Arvon Foundation and the Groucho Club.

What did former participants say about the previous workshops:

I want to thank Anette for her amazing workshops that teach us to tap into our creativity in new ways. The story ideas I generated in Bangkok grew into my debut historical romance novel for HarperCollins!

Lenora Bell, best selling romance novelist (‘Disgraceful Dukes’ series), HarperCollins/LittleBrown

This workshop is cleverly designed to take the fear out of writing and show anyone that they can produce a decent piece of writing in a very short time. The techniques also have benefits beyond writing and also into the field of business. Highly recommended for anyone going through the frustration of writing anything.

Charle Chareonphan, Co-Founder HUBBA Thailand

Inspiration can’t be taught — that’s what we’re told. Not quite true. Anette has developed techniques to bring us to a place of readiness where inspiration can and does strike. This short course has been the single best investment I’ve made in my creative writing.
