Bivar Book Club

Good news to all booklovers: we are starting a new BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP!

BIVAR BOOK CLUB will bring together booklovers once a month to talk about a book they’ve all read in advance.

The discussions will be in English and we aim to explore various literary works, alternating between classics and contemporary fiction.

Everyone is welcome to join – regardless of profession, academic background or level of English. The aim is to share ideas about the book we’ve all read in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

We are going to have a different facilitator every month. If you are interested in being a facilitator, please send us an email to books (at) - including the name of the book you propose and why you chose it.

There’s no admission fee, but all contributions towards costs are welcome.

Our first discussion will be on Wednesday 19 April at 19h30.A Room with A View

Jonathan Weightman is inviting you to come and share your thoughts about

E.M. Forster’s

With Britain’s intended exit from the EU and the new nationalisms that are springing up all over the world, there will be a special focus on the idea of “abroad” in British writing.

Would you like to join us? SIGN UP below, read the book and get ready for an interesting discussion.

We have 12 copies of “A Room with a View” for sale at Bookshop Bivar if you’d like to get the book from us.
